Admission FAQ
Enrollment opens at different times; when enrollment opens for you depends on your student status at KU.
Freshmen
First-time freshmen will enroll in classes during New Student Orientation. To confirm your place, you can set up your KU Online ID and email address and pay your enrollment deposit. Instructions for completing these steps so that you are prepared to enroll can be found here.
Current Students
Each semester, you will receive an email from the Registrar’s Office with your enrollment appointment date. Once you have met with your advisor and have had any enrollment holds removed, you will be able to enroll starting on your assigned date.
Readmitted Students
Readmitted students can view their assigned enrollment appointments in Enroll & Pay. Enrollment usually opens in April for summer/fall and opens in October for spring (see the Academic Calendar for specific dates); if you have questions about when onboarding and enrollment will begin for you and you haven’t heard from a KU Navigator to schedule an enrollment appointment, please call 785-864-1218. Once you have met with your advisor and have had any enrollment holds removed, you will be able to enroll starting on your assigned date.
